Maison de l'Histoire Européenne Rue Belliard 135, 1040 Brussels Belgium

Invited by the House of European History, the ensemble presents a program featuring European composers affected by Nazi violence and the Holocaust: Hans Kràsa, Pavel Haas, Viktor Ullmann, and Arnold Schoenberg.

Specially composed for this occasion and premiered worldwide, Adrien Tsilogiannis' piece "Where is the Wound?" will be presented.

It's written for mezzo-soprano, baritone, and 7 instruments (violin, viola, cello, clarinet, bass clarinet, guitar, piano).

Soloists: Clara Inglese, Lorenzo Carola

Inspired by a fragment from the poem "The Mass Graves" (1947) by Guillevic, the work pays poetic and musical homage to the martyred individuals who couldn't escape human barbarity.
